First, I should say that this is not an article about Donald Trump. Donald Trump is just an example.We can replace it with anyone’s name such as Justine Bieber, Ariana Grande, of course, your name as well as famous celebrities’names. However, when you put your own name on it, you will feel weird. It is because the Sabbath that we must offer worship to God is not “Man’s Sabbath”, but “God’s Sabbath”. The Sabbath, the seventh day of the week is an anniversary for honoring God the Creator who created this world for 6 days, and God set it as the day of worship for His people because God only blessed the seventh day of the week (Saturday) not the first day (Sunday).Therefore, the World Mission Society Church of God(WMSCOG) that strictly follows the teachings of the Bible observes the God’s Sabbath as its custom. Which means the WMSCOG’s Sabbath is the “God’s Sabbath“.
1. Keep “My Sabbath”
” The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath ” -Matthew 12:8- WMSCOG
God clearly commanded us to keep His Sabbath.
Eze 20:20 [ Keep my Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God. ]
Matt 12:8 [ For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath. ]
Above this, we can easily find lots of verses which describe the Sabbath as “my(God’s) Sabbath”. God rested on the seventh day after creating heavens and the earth for six days. And He blessed the seventh day and made it holy. In the times of Moses, He had people keep it as the Sabbath by appointing it as the forth commandment among Ten Commandments. And He promised that the Sabbath was a sign between God and His people.
Ex 31:16-17 [ The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant.It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested. ]
However, nowadays we cannot find any churches which celebrate the Sabbath according to the Bible except the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG). It is because they think that the day of worship is not so important at this present time and that belief in Jesus is enough to be saved . So they just keep Man-made rule like Sunday worship.T his is why members of the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) claim to be true God’s people. No one else but members of WMSCOG put it in to practice.
2. History of Abolishment of the Sabbath
The Sunday Legislation in A.D 321
Then why do people nowadays worship on Sunday? When we look into the origin of Sunday Service, Constantine, the Roman Emperor, issued the Sunday Legislation throughout Rome in A.D. 321 and made people worship on Sunday.
Christianity recognized as the official religion of Rome.
Before Constantine, Christians, who were bitterly persecuted by many Roman emperors, continued to keep the Sabbath in tomb, desert and mountain at the risk of their lives. But the situation totally changed after Constantine became the Roman Emperor. He acknowledged Christianity as one of official religions and carried out policies supporting Christians. Christians came to follow Constantine and at last they changed God’s Sabbath (Saturday) to Sunday, sun-god’s worship day. They changed God’s Sabbath into Man’s Sabbath, man-made rule.
God’s Feasts with different meanings.
About this, Roman Catholic and Protestant churches insist that they keep Sunday Service since Jesus resurrected on Sunday and the Pentecost, when He poured out the Holy Spirit, is also Sunday. Do you think it makes sense? The Sabbath, the Resurrection Day and the Pentecost have totally different dates and meanings.

Apostle Paul, who believed in Jesus after Jesus’ Crucifixion, too, observed the Sabbath. It proves that the Sabbath was still kept even after Jesus’ death. The history of Christianity also clearly proves it.
Ac 17:2-3 [ As his custom was, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and proving that the Christ had to suffer and rise from the dead. “This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Christ,” he said. ]
Ac 18:4 [ Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks. ]
Laws people can’t live by
God’s commandments given to us are for our salvation. However the Bible says laws that people can’t live by will be given to those who don’t observe the Sabbath day.
Eze 20:21-25 [ But the children rebelled against me : They did not follow my decrees, they were not careful to keep my laws-although the man who obeys them will live by them- and they desecrated my Sabbaths … because they had not obeyed my laws but had rejected my decrees and desecrated my Sabbaths, and their eyes lusted after their fathers’ idols. I also gave them over to statutes that were not good and laws they could not live by; ]
Don’t you think Sunday Service which is kept nowadays by most churches is the law which people can’t live by? God’s will is celebrating the Sabbath on Saturday, the seventh day of the week. Nevertheless, if someone persists in keeping Sunday Service since his/her church observe Sunday Service, it means he/she chose to keep his/her own Sabbath(man’s), not God’s Sabbath. Man’s sabbath has nothing to do with God or salvation of our souls. Maybe it would be better to pray in sun-god, Baal’s name. Who knows if the prayer will be answered?
1 Ki 18:26-40 [ So they took the bull given them and prepared it. Then they called on the name of Baal from morning till noon. “O Baal, answer us!” they shouted. But there was no response; no one answered. And they danced around the altar they had made. At noon Elijah began to taunt them. “Shout louder!” he said. “Surely he is a god! Perhaps he is deep in thought, or busy, or traveling. Maybe he is sleeping and must be awakened.”So they shouted louder and slashed themselves with swords and spears, as was their custom, until their blood flowed. But there was no response, no one answered, no one paid attention … the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed : “O LORD, God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command. Answer me, O LORD, answer me, so these people will know that you, O LORD, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again.” Then the fire of the LORD fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood,the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench. Reading the title, I was surprised. You’re right. We have to worship God on Sabbath day. God commanded us to keep the “My(God) Sabbath”. Even though there are Sunday service, we have to keep the Sabbath on Saturday-seventh day. Keeping it holy, God will be happy because we did as the word of God.
