We can easily find words “Off on the Lord’s Day” at closed stores on Sunday. People guess that “the storekeeper goes to church on Sundays”through the words. Likewise, many people think “the Lord’s Day” is “the day to go to church”. Then, is Sunday truly the day of worship?

Definition of “the Lord’s Day”
You can think “the Lord’s Day” is the day to worship God. People may think the Lord’s Day is Sunday since most churches worship on Sundays.But precisely speaking, the Lord’s Day is not Sunday.
The Lord’s Day testified in the Bible
Let’s confirm when is the exact Lord’s Day(worship day to God) through the Bible.
Matt 12:8 “the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
Here, who is the Son of Man? He is Jesus who came as son of man. Jesus is God, isn’t he? So God is the lord of the Sabbath. The Lord’s day is not Sunday, but Saturday.
Sunday is different from the Sabbath
Non-Christians may think worship day for God isn’t very important. And Christians might insist they don’t need to keep the Sabbath day,since it is the law of the Old Testament.
However, Sunday and the Sabbath day are obviously different. The Sabbath day originated in God’s rest on the seventh day after His creation work in 6 days. It corresponds to Saturday. God wanted us to commemorate the Sabbath day, not Sunday.

Because they already keep the “Resurrection day(Easter)”to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus. Furthermore, Jesus whom they believe in, kept the Sabbath day.

Why do they worship on Sunday?
It is clear that Jesus and His disciples kept the Sabbath day . Nevertheless, why do they think “the Lord’s day is Sunday”? We can find out the answer through the Christian history.
Roman Emperor,Constantine, issued a decree that forbids labor on Sunday in A.D. 321. And he called Sunday the venerable day of the Sun( “SUN” day). At that time he demanded Christians in Rome to change worship day from Saturday to Sunday. This is the origin of Sunday service.

Sunday Service is not based on the Bible nor Jesus’ teaching. If we want to follow Jesus’teaching, we must keep the Sabbath day, not Sunday Service.

You are a hypocrite for hating saturday a day god said to keep until the end
The Sabbath day is God’s day.
Those who believe in God must keep the Sabbath not the Sunday worship.
Of course, it’s Saturday.
Sunday is the first day of the week, and there are no promises or blessings from God on that day.
There is no evidence anywhere in the Bible that the Lord’s day is Sunday.
The Lord’s day cannot be Sunday, no matter what excuses those who deny the Sabbath may offer.
Jesus kept the Sabbath. And the apostles of the Early Church also kept the Sabbath.
Following the example of Jesus and the apostles, we must observe the Sabbath on Saturday.
We can be blessed when we keep the Sabbath day, not the Sunday
We must know we can’t enter heaven without keeping the Sabbath day
Most of people, whether they go to church or not, regard Sunday as the day to go to church.
Then as believers, we should find out whether or not Sunday is truly the Lord’s day thru the Bible.
Unlike what most ppl think, the Bible says the Sabbath day ,which is Saturday according to the present week system, is the Lord’s day. So even Jesus said that He is the Lord of the Sabbath (Mt. 12:8). It is so important for us to worship on appointed day by God, since it’s God’s command that we should obey without adding or subtracting!

The Sabbath, the Creator’s memorial day, is the seventh day.
The seventh day of the 7 day of week is Saturday.
Therefore, God’s commandment, the Sabbath, is Saturday.
Isn’t it too easy?
Why do we have to have a Sunday service that is not even in the Bible?
If you know something is wrong, you should correct it, not blame the custom.
