[Church of God] If You Love God, Keep His Commandments
"I love God" is a phrase that all people who believe in God say the same.
But there is a big difference between what God thinks and what people think.
John 14:21
Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."
People say they love God by worshipping Him on Sunday, Christmas, and Thanksgiving, but there are other days that God is pleased with.
The worship that is pleasing to God is seven feasts in three times annual festivals that God has ordained, the weekly feast Sabbath, and the Daily prayer.
There is no heaven of our own thinking.
We can only go to heaven by absolutely believing in God's word, observing the New Covenant feasts that God has commanded us to keep, and following God's will in obedience.
The Church of God is granted the promise of eternal life through the New Covenant feasts that God has ordained.
The Bible teaches us that we should obey God's commandments. We can be blessed and get close to God when we keep the commandments of God. We are sinners who committed grave sins from Heaven. God has pity on these sinners and came to the earth as a man and taught the law of living again. Let us keep God's commandments such as the Sabbath, the Passover, and the Seven Feasts in Three Times.
The Most High God Himself came to this earth in human form and made a noble sacrifice for our sins. Therefore, as created beings, we must obey God absolutely, and worship and praise Him forever and ever. Believing only in words is not complete faith. If you truly believe in God, you must offer God's commandments as worship.
Say, there is a man who always talk about his love towards his king and how wonderful and magnificant he is. However, he does not follow orders and laws of the king making up all kinds of excuses... Do you think he really loves the king?
It is same to churches and God. God has established the new covenant with His sacrifice coming down to this earth, mocked and humbled by creatures, and even crucified on the cross in order to save us and commanded us the new covenant as a law. What can we say before God if we do not keep this precious commandment? Let us deligently study the new covenant and keep it so that we can express our love to God!
The essence lies in knowing what the commandments of God are!
If we love someone in our lives, we do what he want.
Likewise, if we love God, we must do what God wants.
What does God want?
It is to abide by the laws of God that he established to save us.
People keep Sunday worship, Christmas, etc. as God's law,
but it's not what God really wants It is to abide by the laws God established to save us.
If we truly love God, we must obey the law.
If you love God, keep the New covenant God made with love. Only WMSCOG is a church that keeps the new covenant taught by Jesus.
