When it comes to expressing love, if you don't understand the other person's heart, and you express your love in a way that pleases you but displeases them, that's not true love.

So how should we express our love for God?

Since God says that His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, just as the heavens are higher than the earth (Isaiah 55:9), we should express our love for God according to His ways as recorded in the Bible.

God has given us the words, "If you love me, you will keep my commandments".

Let's look at the relationship between loving God and God's commandments, and discover God's providence in His commandments.

If You Love God, You Will Keep His Commandments Two thousand years ago, God incarnate opened the way to eternal life and salvation for mankind, and He also taught us how to love God.
In light of these words, we can see that keeping God's commandments is an expression of spiritual love for God.

If you are a believer who loves God, you will cherish and keep the commandments that God has given you to keep.

Those who are on God's side, those whom the devil seeks to oppose, are also those who keep God's commandments.

If those who keep God's commandments are saints who love God, then are not those who do not keep God's commandments revealing by their actions that they do not love God?

Ignorant People Who Keep the Commandments of Men Jesus sternly rebuked those who profess to love God while not keeping His commandments.

"...It is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me: for they teach for a precept the commandments of men, and worship me in vain: for ye forsake the commandment of God, and keep the heritage of men."

Keeping God's commandments is an act that flows from faith in God's Word and love for God.
However, many people do not have that faith and love, and so they readily forsake the commandments of God in order to adhere to the commandments of men. However, God has hidden the wisdom to understand His Word from those who have been taught by the commandments of men.

This leads to the strange phenomenon that many supposedly wise theologians, no matter how much they study the Bible, fail to recognize God's regulations.

Through the prophet Isaiah 2700 years ago, God had already shown that those who claim to believe in Him would reject and oppose God's commandments written in the Bible.

Just like in the quote above, there are those who don't want to hear God's laws, but instead, speak softly of God's love and call for peace.

God made us keep His commandments to lead us to the way of salvation, the way to eternal heaven. We ask that you realize God's love in the words "keep" and follow the path to the end, no matter where God leads, so that everyone can enter the kingdom of heaven.

The Church of God is observing God's commandments because we love God.

Keeping God's commandments is a more authentic expression of love than saying we love God a hundred times or a thousand times.

God's commandments are the glue that binds the relationship between God and people.

Through the New Covenant, God becomes our God and we become God's people (Jeremiah 31:33).

That the failure to keep God's commandments sever the relationship between God and people can be seen in the biblical account of the ceremony of the three tribes.
It was a seemingly insignificant ceremony, but at its heart was a grave matter of having a relationship with God.

We cannot but be truly grateful to God for calling us to Zion to keep the feasts, and for enlightening us to all of God's commandments. If we had kept the commandments of men, we would have been people who had nothing to do with God.

All of God's commandments, no matter how insignificant they may seem, are related to our salvation and contain God's love for our souls.
