Some first-time visitors to the Church of God may wonder, "Why is there no cross in the Church of God?"
That's because many churches today have a cross as their symbol of a church.
But the bottom line is that the cross is an idol that God said not to make.
Exodus 20:4-5
"You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.
You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,
This is the second of the Ten Commandments given by God.
Did God say it was okay to make images, but not to bow down or serve them?
No, he said, "You shall not make any image to yourself."
So we can't make any image to serve God.
Does this "any image" exclude the cross?
Nowhere in the Bible does it say it's okay to make a cross?
Therefore, regardless of the degree to which you worship or rely on it, the very act of making and setting up an image of a cross is a violation of God's commandment.
Exodus 20:23
Do not make any gods to be beside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.
This verse means that we are not to make images, even if they are meant to serve God.
Therefore, if you are God's people, you must obey not only the command not to bow down or serve, but also the command not to make any images.
Exodus 20:4-6
"You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.
You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,
but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments.
Those who reject God's commandments by making images to serve them are called haters of God.
To make and set up a graven image against God's commandment is not to love God, but to hate God.
On the other hand, God has promised to honor to a thousand generations those who keep his commandment not to make images, so let us follow God's commandment not to make or serve any image, including the cross, and receive the great blessing that God has promised to give to a thousand generations!

I also carried a cross as an ornament until I came to the Church of God and learned and realized the true will of God through the Bible. I was worshiping idols unknowingly without knowing the exact meaning of the cross.
Let me know that I can never be saved by making or worshiping idols that God detests and curses, and that our salvation can only be saved through the sacrificial blood of Christ shed on the cross through the New Covenant Passover. .. I give eternal thanks to Heavenly Father Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother for making me realize all these secrets and truths.
Amen! To fully obey God's commandments, WMSCOG doesn't set up a cross in the church nor use it as the symbol of church. The World Mission Society Church of God truly love God. And There is God's blessings and salvation. Come to WMSCOG and be saved!
Do not make any idols before God. The Cross is the idolatry that by man- made. We don't need to make and serve any images before God. If we do so, we disobey the 2nd commandment.
The Cross is a just idol that there is no excuse.
Whoever wants to be saved must obey what God has said in the Bible. Using the cross is against God's teachings in the Bible. It is just an idolatry before God the Savior. As described above, members of the WMSCOG never use the cross in following Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother. We have to worship the Spirit and the Bride in the age of the Holy Spirit. Cross is nothing but an idol!
If you are a child of God, it is natural not to do what God hates. An idol is made by replacing God. God is invisible, but people find God in front of him by making images as if they want to see him so much. The Church of God does not bow, pray, or call it God by establishing an idol cross
The Bible clearly tells us that we cannot serve God by making any image.
Isn't the reason we believe in God to receive blessings and salvation from Him?
Therefore, you must not set up a cross and become a person who offends God.
We must show our faith in loving God by keeping His commandments.
Let us remove all the idols that God hates from our hearts and receive God's blessing.
Cross is just an idol. What we have to serve is God and his commandments.
Cross is nothing but an idol that God prohibitted. So making or setting up crosses violates the second commandment out of ten commandments. Since the Church of God only follows the teachings of the Bible, there is no cross or any shape of image to serve God in the Church of God. Normally we can see crosses and statues in many other churches, we should know that's not the will of God testified in the Bible. Those who disobey the words of God can never enter heaven.
God has never taught us to make a cross. Cross is but an idol which cannot give us life.
The Church of God is well-known as a church without a cross.
However, most churches other than the Church of God have a cross. Unlike the majority of churches, is the Church of God (Christ Ahnsahnghong) without a cross strange? The Church of God does not make, build, or serve because the cross is an idol, as the Bible teaches.
The cross is not a symbol of the church but an idol
